Jan.10

At1:55 a.m., officers responded to Rusnak Mercedes Benz, located at 101 N. SantaAnita Ave., regarding a commercial burglary in progress. Surveillance footagerevealed the suspect stole a fire extinguisher and a key fob from the business.The suspect, a 33-year-old male from El Monte was also found to have threeoutstanding misdemeanor warrants. He was arrested and transported to theArcadia City Jail for booking.

At7:11 a.m., officers responded a residence in the 100block of Luben Lane regarding the illegal cultivation of marijuana. During akeep the peace call, the officers witnessed subjects moving marijuana plantsand cultivation equipment from the home. The investigation is ongoing.

At10:13 a.m., an officer responded to the 11700 block of Clark Street regarding avehicle burglary report. The victim discovered someone had smashed her windowand fled with a car battery. The incident occurred sometime during the previousevening.

At3:12 p.m., an officer responded to Move Your Mountain Fitness, located at 120 E.Santa Clara St., regarding a package theft report. The victim determined herpackage had been stolen on Friday, Jan. 8. She later located the shipping boxto the rear of the business with a note that likely indicates the suspect is aprevious employee. The investigation is ongoing.

At8:38 p.m., officers responded to assist the Los Angeles County Sheriff’sDepartment investigate an in-progress residential burglary. The investigationrevealed three suspects smashed a rear window and, once inside the residence,they ransacked several rooms and fled with an unknown number of items. Two ofthe three suspects were located and a 21-year-old male from Perris and a19-year-old male from Perris were arrested. The investigation is ongoing.

At6:54 a.m., an officer responded to the 1000 block of Arcadia Avenue regarding astolen vehicle report. Sometime during the previous night, unknown suspect(s)stole the victim’s 2003 Hummer H2. The officer was unable to locate anysurveillance footage of the incident.

At8:21 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 100 block of Fano Streetregarding a grand theft report. The victim discovered her catalytic converterhad been removed from her Honda CRV sometime between Jan. 11 and 13. Theincident was not captured by surveillance cameras.

At11:51 a.m., an officer took a telephonic report of a commercial burglary that occurredat the construction site of La Meridien Hotel, located at 130 W. HuntingtonDrive. The reporting party discovered unidentified suspect(s) forcibly enteredtwo electrical rooms and fled with various electrical items. The officercanvassed the area for suspects, witnesses, or evidence but was unable to findany.

Jan.14

At1:51 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1100 block of HighlandOaks Drive regarding a burglary report. The victim discovered her carport hadbeen broken into as was her husband’s vehicle. There were no signs of forcedentry to the vehicle. The loss is unknown at the time of this report.

At9:58 a.m., an officer took a telephonic report of a theft from vehicle thatoccurred in the 1000 block of Park Avenue. The victim stated he left his trunklocked. During the previous evening, an unknown suspect entered the unlockedtrunk and fled with cash and two check books.

Jan.15

At6:10 p.m., an officer took a telephonic report of a grand theft incident thatoccurred in the 1200 block of Greenfield Avenue. An investigation revealedunknown suspect(s) stole the victim’s catalytic converter from his Toyota Priussometime between noon and 6 p.m. on Jan. 15.

At7:51 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 00 block of Alta Streetregarding a burglary report. The officer determined the unidentified suspect(s)entered the home through an unlocked living room window and fled with variouselectronics, cash, and a doorbell camera.

Jan.16

At9:20 a.m., an officer responded to the 900 block of West Duarte Road regardingthe activation of a GPS tracking device. The officer located the stolen item,the tracking device, and the suspect. A 43-year-old male from Los Angeles wasarrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. The suspect alsoattempted to bring a controlled substance into the jail. This offense was addedto his list of charges.

At4:23 p.m., an officer responded to the 300 block of South Second Avenueregarding a grand theft report. According to a witness, the suspect exited awhite Toyota Corolla and stole the victim’s landscaping equipment that wassecured in the bed of his truck. The investigation is ongoing.
