Virtual Presentations from Arcadia Senior Services to Cover Aging at Home
The Recreationand Community Services Department, Senior Services Division is offering threefree informative virtual presentations in January:
- On Jan.12 at 10 a.m., participants can learn how to safely remain in their home as theyage by making modifications ranging from simple-do-it yourself fixes to morecomplex solutions depending on their needs.
- On Jan.19 at noon, Dr. Jay Iinuma from Arcadia Methodist Hospital will discuss thefunction of sleep, sleep apnea, insomnia solutions, as well as sleep and mentalillness.
- On Jan.26 at 10 a.m., California Telephone Access will provide information on making iteasier to hear, dial and make calls. There are cellphone amplifiers to makecell phones louder — no landline, no problem.
If you are interestedin learning about these programs but do not have a computer there is a dial-inoption. All individuals must pre-register by calling Arcadia Senior Services at(626) 574-5130 at least one day prior to the presentation. Arcadia Senior Servicesstaff will request an email address, if available.
