Dec.27

At12:21 a.m., an officer took a telephonic report of a vandalism that occurred inthe 1100 block of West Duarte Road. The victim stated a rock had been thrownthrough one of the windows of the residence for no apparent reason. It does notappear as though anyone entered the home. The victim stated the incident wasnot captured by surveillance cameras.

At5:10 p.m., an officer responded to the Hilton GardenInn, located at 199 N. Second Ave., regarding a stolen vehicle report. Sometimebetween 7 and 9 p.m. on Dec. 26, the victim’s Honda Accord was stolen. Thevictim stated he misplaced his keys. There is no surveillance footage of theincident.

Dec.28

At7:40 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 00 block of Alta Streetregarding a residential burglary report. The victim stated someone entered thehome through the unlocked front door and stole numerous pairs of shoes. Thevictim was unable to provide any suspect information.

At8:50 a.m., an officer responded to Bank of the West, located at 1155 W.Huntington Drive, regarding a commercial burglary. Surveillance footagerevealed a lone suspect entered the business through the roof and, once inside,he opened desk drawers and fled with an unknown amount of currency. The suspectis described as a white or Hispanic male seen wearing a black long-sleeveshirt, gray shorts, and a blue backpack. The investigation is ongoing.

Dec.29

At9:10 a.m., an officer responded to the 700 block of Fairview Avenue regarding acommercial burglary report. Sometime during the previous evening, an unknownsuspect entered the victim’s carport storage closet and fled with financialdocuments and a computer. The officer was unable to locate any additionalvictims, evidence, or witnesses.

At12:31 p.m., an officer took a telephonic report of a package theft from the 300block of Las Tunas Drive. The victim discovered his package containing two newcellphones was stolen sometime between Dec. 10 and 24. The victim stated theincident was not captured by surveillance cameras.

Dec.30

At3:37 a.m., an officer responded to Fertig and Gordan Co. Inc, located at 7 N.Fifth Ave., regarding a commercial burglary report. The officer concluded thesuspect turned off the power to the closed business before smashing a windowand entering the location. Once inside, the suspect ransacked the business butfled emptyhanded. The business was unable to provide any suspect information orsurveillance footage.

At12:47 p.m., an officer responded to the 100 block of East Santa Clara Streetregarding a vehicle burglary report. An investigation revealed a suspectentered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and fled with clothing and an iPod. Thereis no suspect information at this time.

Dec.31

At9:34 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 300 block of East CaminoReal Avenue regarding a burglary report. The officer discovered the residence,which is currently under renovation, was burglarized and the unknown suspect(s)fled with various tools. The incident is under investigation.

At4:07 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 00 block of EastChristina Street regarding a package theft report. Surveillance footagerevealed a male suspect wearing a blue “LA” hat, black sunglasses, a bluesurgical mask and a blue tank top stole the victim’s package from his porch.The investigation is ongoing.

Jan.1

At10 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1400 block of CaballeroRoad regarding an attempted residential burglary report. The victim was homewhen he was awoken by a suspect opening the door and activating the alarm. Thevictim exited his home to investigate but was unable to find the suspect. Theofficer was unable to locate any additional evidence.

At1:49 p.m., an officer responded to Macy’s, located at 400 S. Baldwin Ave.,regarding a theft suspect in custody. Surveillance footage revealed the suspectstole three articles of clothing and then exited the store with no intention ofpaying for the items.  The 38-year-oldfemale from Los Angeles was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jailfor booking. A records check revealed she also had two outstanding misdemeanorwarrants for her arrest.

Jan.2

At1:24 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 100 block of La PorteStreet regarding a grand theft report. The officer discovered the suspectentered the victim’s carport and stole a pressure washer. The incident was notcaptured by surveillance cameras.

At6:40 p.m., an officer responded to Huntington Drive Health and RehabilitationCenter, located at 400 W. Huntington Drive, regarding a petty theft report. Thevictim stated a suspect stole $40 from her purse. The victim is unsure of whocould have committed the theft.
