Gas Leak Shuts Downtown Arcadia Tuesday Afternoon, Stores Evacuated

Arcadia Fire Department, police and Southern California Gas responded to reports of a natural gas leak in the block between First Avenue and Santa Anita on Huntington Drive Tuesday afternoon. Police and fire personnel went door to door to area businesses to ask that they safely leave their business while the leak was detected and stopped.

Traffic was diverted for hours as that block remained closed.
