Arcadia Community Coordinating Council Spotlights Barbershop Quartet at Next Meeting

Hot Topic is afemale barbershop quartet affiliated with the Verdugo Hills Chorus, a SweetAdeline four-part harmony group that has been entertaining in the San GabrielValley for over 50 years. Learn more about the quartet at the Arcadia CommunityCoordinating Council (ACCC) Zoom meeting on Dec. 7, 2020 from noon–1:30 p.m.

The members ofthis quartet have been together for many years. Patti Loitz, the lead, andPenny Parisis, who sings tenor, are music teachers. Dee Cardello, who sings baritone,is an accountant and Ellen Totleben, the bass, is a set decorator fortelevision shows. 

Together Hot Topic enjoys songs from every decade, especially swingtunes from the forties. They rehearse weekly and compete each year in the springat their Regional Convention.
