At 3:17 a.m., an officer responded Clinic Gym, located at 24 N. First Ave., regarding a vandalism report. Surveillance footage revealed a suspect threw a rock through the front glass door. The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, with a medium build, and was seen wearing a dark blue or black wind breaker and black pants. The investigation is ongoing.
At 9:13 a.m., an officer responded to Avis Car Rental, located at 112 N. First Ave., regarding a commercial burglary report. The officer determined the unidentified suspect used a nearby drain cover to smash one of the windows. The suspect then stole a safe containing car keys and GPS devices. There are no investigative leads as of the date of this report.
At 11:26 p.m., an officer responded a residence in the 800 block of West Huntington Drive regarding a battery that occurred on Saturday, Nov. 7. An investigation revealed a girlfriend stabbed her boyfriend in the chest with a broken piece of glass. The victim bandaged the wounds after the incident. The suspect, a 41-year-old female from Arcadia, was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
Nov. 9
At 9:21 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 400 block of West Norman Avenue regarding two stolen vehicles. Sometime during the previous night, the victim’s Chevrolet truck and a Harley Davidson motorcycle were stolen from his driveway. The investigation is ongoing.
Nov. 10
At 6:27 a.m., an officer responded to Arcadia Radiology Medical Group, located at 612 W. Duarte Road, regarding a commercial burglary investigation. The officer determined the unknown suspects entered the radiology location and tunneled through to the neighboring suite, Arcadia Medical Pharmacy, Suite #102. Once inside the pharmacy, the suspects stole medication and cash. The suspects are described as two males in hooded sweatshirts, pants, and may be associated with a black sedan. The investigation is ongoing.
At 7:20 a.m., an officer responded to Residence Inn, located at 321 E. Huntington Drive, regarding a commercial burglary report. An investigation revealed the unidentified suspect pried open the door to the maintenance shop and stole miscellaneous tools. There is no suspect information at this time.
At 12:09 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1600 block of Melanie Lane regarding a burglary report. The reporting party discovered the rear glass door had been smashed, but the alarm didn’t activate. It’s unknown if the suspects entered the home or fled empty-handed. The investigation is ongoing.
Nov. 11
At 2:41 p.m., officers responded to Goldstein’s Bagel Bakery, located at 412 N. Santa Anita Ave., regarding a commercial burglary that had just occurred. While responding to the location, officers located a suspect that fit the description provided by a witness. During a search of the suspect, the officers located four tablets that had been stolen from the business. The 32-year-old male transient was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At 6:55 p.m., an officer responded to the Arcadia Police Department front counter regarding a grand theft report. The victim stated the suspect, posing as a recycling center employee, offered to help her with her recycling donation when he stole her purse from her unlocked vehicle. The suspect is described as a male with a thin build, light complexion, and seen wearing a green neon vest. He fled in an older model vehicle. There is no additional suspect information at this time.
Nov. 12
At 1:41 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 600 block of Fairview Avenue regarding a battery report. The victim stated he was arguing with his roommate when the roommate grabbed the victim and held a butter knife against the victim’s chest. The suspect was gone by the time officers arrived. The 26-year-old male from Arcadia is outstanding as of Nov. 17.
Nov. 13
At 11:10 a.m., an officer responded to the 300 block of North First Avenue regarding a vehicle burglary report. An investigation revealed an unknown suspect tampered with the keyhole to the vehicle, then attempted to steal the vehicle but failed and fled with the victim’s registration information. The investigation is pending a review of the surveillance footage.
At 3:56 p.m., an officer responded to StorAmerica, located at 5630 Peck Road, regarding a commercial burglary report. Sometime between June 30 and Nov. 10, unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s storage unit by unknown means and stole her washer and dryer and other miscellaneous items. There is no suspect information at this time.
Nov. 14
At 11:23 a.m., an officer responded to the 1100 block of Valencia Way regarding a theft from vehicle report. The victim discovered the catalytic converter had been stolen from his vehicle sometime during the previous night. The investigation is awaiting the submission of surveillance footage.
At 6:55 p.m., an officer responded to the 300 block of East Forest Avenue regarding a theft from vehicle report. Surveillance footage revealed two suspects stole the victim’s catalytic converter from his Toyota Prius. The investigation is ongoing. Due to the recent increase in catalytic converter thefts, Arcadia Police Department issued a Crime Prevention Tip related on ways to combat catalytic converter thefts.
