

Hikers found the body of man with a gunshot wound off a trail in Eaton Canyon Sunday morning.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department homicide investigators respond to the Eaton Canyon Nature Center at 6:30 a.m. Sunday after hikers alerted staff who then called 911.
Deputies discovered the body of an unidentified white adult man unresponsive on a trail next to the nature center’s parking lot. The man appeared to have sustained at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A handgun was discovered at the scene. At this time, it is unknown if this shooting is criminal or accidental in nature.
