Arcadia Crime Blotters: Oct. 11-17

Oct.11

At1:41 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 400 block of WestHuntington Drive regarding a theft report. Surveillance footage revealed thesuspect stole the victim’s packages from her porch. The suspect is described asa 40 to 50-year-old white or Hispanic male, with brown hair, an average build,wearing a white and blue checkered shirt, gray shorts, dark colored shoes,white socks, and a face mask. The victim is not desirous of prosecution.

Oct.12

At9:20 a.m., an officer responded Foothills Middle School,located at 171 E. Sycamore Ave., regarding a vandalism report. The reportingparty discovered someone had cut a chain on a gate leading to the upper field.There is no suspect information at this time.

At10:05 a.m., an officer responded a residence in the 200 block of CaliforniaStreet regarding a theft report. The victim witnessed a male suspect cuttingthe catalytic converter from her neighbor’s car. An investigation revealed the suspect,a Hispanic male in his twenties, had used a saw to cut two catalytic convertersfrom the victim and her neighbor’s car. The suspect fled with a Hispanic malepassenger in a gray sedan. The investigation is ongoing.

At1:11 p.m., an officer responded to World Gas, located at 3 E. Duarte Roadregarding a fraud report. An employee discovered two of the gas pumps hadskimming devices installed. There is no suspect information at this time.

At2:18 p.m., an officer responded to Natural Selection, located at 305 S. SantaAnita Ave., regarding a vandalism report. Sometime between 6 and 7:15 a.m., anunknown suspect damaged a speaker, solar lights, and the air conditioning.There are no investigative leads as of the date of this report.

Oct.13

At6:59 a.m., an officer responded to StorAmerica, located at 5630 Peck Road,regarding a commercial burglary report. Surveillance footage revealed thesuspect forced his way into a bathroom, then tunneled through the wall to the location’soffice. A secondary suspect remained outside as the “look out.” They aredescribed as Hispanic males in their late 20s or early 30s. They fled in a grayfour-door sedan. The investigation is ongoing.

At8:49 a.m., an officer responded to the 200 block of East Floral Avenueregarding a theft from vehicle report. Surveillance footage captured thesuspect entering the unlocked vehicle and fleeing with a watch and cash. Thesuspect is described as a black male in his early 20s, wearing a hooded sweatshirt,pants, gloves, and shoes with reflective material. The investigation isongoing. 

Oct.14

At5:43 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 500 block of WestHuntington Drive regarding a grand theft report. The officer discovered twovehicles had their catalytic converters stolen during the previous night. Thereare no investigative leads as of the date of this report.

At6:39 p.m., an officer responded to the 11600 block of Goldring Road regarding astolen vehicle report. The victim parked his trailer in a parking lot andsometime during the previous night, an unknown suspect stole the trailer. Thereis no surveillance footage of the incident.

Oct.15

At6:25 a.m., an officer responded to Hilton Garden Inn, located at 199 N. SecondAve., regarding a robbery investigation. The victim stated she was arguing withthe suspect when he stole her purse and backpack. When the victim grabbed heritems, the suspect punched the victim in the face. The suspect was located onOct. 16 and the 34-year-old male from Pomona was arrested and transported tothe Arcadia City Jail for booking.

At6:59 a.m., an officer responded to Home Liquor, located at 502 E. Live Oak Ave.,regarding a commercial burglary report. Surveillance footage revealed a malesuspect, accompanied by a female suspect, smashed the front glass door, damagedthe front security gate, and stole the cash register drawer. They fled in alight colored, older model sedan. The investigation is ongoing.

Oct.16

At4:02 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 200 block of Sharon Roadregarding a theft from vehicle report. Surveillance footage captured two malesuspects stealing a wallet and sunglasses from an unlocked car. Theinvestigation is ongoing.

At10:15 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 500 block of Santa MariaRoad regarding a vandalism report. The victim stated an unknown suspect threw asingle egg at their window. This is the second incident that has occurred inthe past seven days. There is no suspect information at this time.

Oct.17

At12:18 p.m., an officer responded to Abercrombie and Fitch, located at 400 S.Baldwin Ave., regarding a burglary report. Surveillance footage revealed twofemale suspects stole approximately $1,116 worth of perfume. Suspect #1 isdescribed as a Hispanic female, approximately 18 to 25-years-old, 5-foot-4,medium build, with long black curly hair, wearing a black graphic t-shirt andblack shorts. Suspect #2 is described as a Hispanic female, 35 to 45-years-old,5-foot-4, with a medium build, blonde and brown hair, and seen wearing a blackheadband, and a cream-colored dress. The investigation is ongoing.
