

TheCity of Monrovia has extended the submission deadline for the Art in PublicPlaces logo contest until Oct. 1.
Thecontest winner will receive $500. This logo should reflect the culture, valuesand characteristics of Monrovia. The contest is open to Monrovia residents andbusiness owners of all ages. The logo must include the words “Monrovia” and“Art in Public Places” and incorporate Myrtle leaves. For a complete list ofthe contest guidelines and design specifics, visitcityofmonrovia.org/logo.
Establishedin 2004, Art in Public Places supports the creation of public art through avariety of programs and projects. The program extends the reach of public artinto the community by sponsoring the artists to paint utility boxes, murals,Samson the Bear statues and more.
