The City of Monrovia has extended the submission deadline for the Art in Public Places logo contest until Oct. 1.
The contest winner will receive $500. This logo should reflect the culture, values and characteristics of Monrovia. The contest is open to Monrovia residents and business owners of all ages. The logo must include the words “Monrovia” and “Art in Public Places” and incorporate Myrtle leaves. For a complete list of the contest guidelines and design specifics, visit cityofmonrovia.org/logo.
Established in 2004, Art in Public Places supports the creation of public art through a variety of programs and projects. The program extends the reach of public art into the community by sponsoring the artists to paint utility boxes, murals, Samson the Bear statues and more.
