On Friday, Sept. 11, 2020, Pasadena Police Detectives were called to investigate a stabbing death that occurred at approximately 8:14 p.m. Patrol officers responded to the 100 block of East Orange Grove Boulevard as a result of multiple calls of a stabbing victim in the CVS parking lot. Shortly after their initial response, officers located and captured the suspect a short distance away from the crime scene, officials said in a press release.

The deceased victim has been identified as 30-year-old Christopher Flores, a resident of Altadena.

The suspect has been identified as 19-year-old Enrique Antonio Real, a resident of Baldwin Park.

On Wednesday, Pasadena police detectives presented the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for review. Real was charged with one count of murder and his bail was set at $2,020,000.

According to police, the investigation revealed the victim and suspect knew each other, however, the motive for the stabbing requires further follow up by detectives. No further details have been released.
