Long Beach police are looking into merchandise to see whether any of their employees are tied to making or selling it. (Photo by Brittany Murray, Press-Telegram/SCNG) Long Beach police launched an internal investigation this week after a challenge coin with “2020 riots” and its name on it popped up on a firm’s website, authorities said. The Police Department released a statement saying it was aware of the coin and investigating whether an employee helped produce or sell the memorabilia, which was available from an online retailer, Clear Hot Gear.
