Man Dies After Shooting at Arcadia House Party

LosAngeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives and the ArcadiaPolice Department are investigating a shooting at a house party that left oneman dead.

Theincident occurred on Sunday at approximately 8:40 p.m. on the 2800 block of CarolineWay in Arcadia. 

“Itlooked like some type of argument led to a shooting,” said Arcadia policeLieutenant Kollin Cieadlo.

Arcadia police responded to a call that shots had been fired at a house party where they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso on the rear patio. The victim, a 23-year-old Hispanic male, was transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

There were about 25 people in attendance at the house which, according to Cieadlo, “looked like a rental.”

Aperson of interest, a 23-year-old Black male, was detained for questioning aspart of the investigation and later arrested by Arcadia police on an unrelatedcharge.

According to the Sheriff’s department, it is unknown if the incident was gang related.
