Aug.16

At9:19 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 400 block of Oxford Driveregarding a domestic violence report. An altercation between a husband and wiferesulted in the wife sustaining visible injuries to her face and arm. The26-year-old male from Arcadia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia CityJail for booking.

At2:45 p.m., an officer responded to the Arcadia PoliceDepartment front counter regarding a battery that occurred near theintersection of Alta Street and First Avenue. The victim stated her boyfriendchoked, scratched, and bit her. Officers located nearby surveillance footageand the suspect is still outstanding.

Aug.17

At6:43 a.m., an officer responded to Burger King, located at 82 W. Las TunasDrive, regarding a vandalism report. The officer determined an unknown suspectused a brick to shatter the front glass door of the business. A review of thesurveillance footage revealed the suspect did not enter the business.

At9:19 a.m., an officer took a telephonic report of a vehicle that had beenstolen from the 00 block of Bonita Street. The victim discovered his 1996 HondaAccord had been stolen sometime during the previous night. The vehicle waslater recovered by Azusa Police Department. No suspects were located in therecovered vehicle.

At10:25 a.m., an officer responded to the alley behind Alta Street, near SecondAvenue, in reference to a female who was seen looking into vehicles. Theofficer located the subject and a records check revealed she was on probationfor burglary. During a consensual search of the suspect’s purse, the officerlocated counterfeit currency, identity theft items, knives, narcotics, pepperspray, and other miscellaneous items. The suspect stated the property had beenstolen from different vehicles. The 31-year-old female from Mira Loma wasarrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

At4:28 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 2100 block of South SixthAvenue regarding a burglary report. When the house sitter went to check on thehome, she discovered someone had smashed the rear glass window, tampered withand disconnected the camera system and fled with an unknown amount of property.The investigation is pending a view of the surveillance footage, if any isrecovered.

Aug.18

At7:37 a.m., an officer responded to the 800 block of Fairview Avenue regarding abicycle theft report. A review of the surveillance footage revealed a malesuspect stole a bicycle from the apartment complex. The suspect is described asa male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black shoes. Theinvestigation is pending a review of the surveillance footage.

At1:38 p.m., an officer took a telephonic report of a theft from a vehicle thatoccurred at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, located at 120 Las Tunas Drive. When themanager attempted to take a Chevrolet E35 van to get a tire changed, hediscovered the catalytic converter had been stolen. There are no investigativeleads as of Aug. 25.

Aug.19

At8:04 a.m., officers responded to the 5800 block of South Baldwin Avenueregarding a vehicle burglary report. Sometime during the previous evening, anunknown suspect smashed the rear window of the victim’s truck and stole variouswork tools. Officers attempted to locate surveillance footage of the incidentbut were unsuccessful.

At5:49 p.m., an officer responded to JCPenney, located at 400 S. Baldwin Ave.,regarding a grand theft report. Surveillance footage revealed two femalesuspects stole nearly $1,300 worth of clothes and makeup. Suspect #1 isdescribed as a black female with a thin build, wearing a burgundy shirt, greenshorts, and reading glasses. Suspect #2 was described as a black female wearinga pink shirt and black and white shorts. The investigation is pending a reviewof the footage.

At7:19 p.m., an officer responded to the 1400 block of South Baldwin Avenueregarding a theft report. The victim stated he left his suitcase unattended inthe rear alley. When the victim returned, he noticed his suitcase, containingapproximately $50 worth of clothing and toiletries, had been stolen. Theofficer attempted to locate the suspect and surveillance cameras but did notlocate either.

Aug.20

At7:32 a.m., an officer responded to Golden Years Services Inc., located at 60 E.Live Oak Ave., regarding an attempted stolen vehicle report. The reportingparty discovered one of the company vehicles, which had been left with the keysin the ignition and unlocked, had been moved as if the suspect(s) attempted tosteal it. The suspect(s) were unsuccessful.

Aug.22

At8:10 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 200 block of EastSycamore Avenue regarding a burglary report. The victim discovered someone hadentered the home between 12:30-7:30 a.m. on Aug. 22 through an open window andstole the victim’s computer, wallet, firearm, and ammunition. Surveillancefootage from a neighbor captured a four-door sedan, possibly silver in color,park near the victim’s residence and a solo suspect was seen exiting thevehicle and approaching the victim’s house. The investigation is ongoing.

At9:49 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of West CaminoReal Avenue regarding an audible alarm activation. An investigation revealedunknown suspect(s) smashed the rear sliding glass door, opened a few cabinetsand desk drawers in the office, but fled before ransacking the rest of thehome. The loss is unknown. Officers located cameras at the residence and alsoat neighboring residences. The investigation is pending a review of anysurveillance footage.
