Pasadena residents are encouraged to attend the live webinar scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 27 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. that will focus on featuring collective details on the Lincoln Avenue Specific Plan (LASP).

The virtual open house is now live and residents are able to navigate through a series of different stations, interactive maps and submit comments online.

In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, the Planning Department is conducting several virtual open houses for the third rounds of community engagement. The third rounds of are considered to be the most important as the Planning Department gets closer to presenting final proposals to the Planning Commission and recommendations to City Council early next year.

“During the round 3 Virtual Open House for the Lincoln Avenue Specific Plan, the community will have an opportunity to watch a short informational video on the plan area, navigate through a series of stations and interactive maps that highlight the draft development standards being considered, and submit comments online. Feedback received will help finalize the proposed Specific Plan that will be presented to the Planning Commission early next year for their review and recommendation to City Council,” shared Pasadena Planning Department Representative Ana Española.

The virtual open house for LASP will grant residents the opportunity to learn more about the direction the City of Roses is heading toward.

Española explains further, “The city aims to support a diverse housing stock, job opportunities, and a thriving district with commercial and a mix of uses that promote healthy neighborhoods. The Lincoln Avenue Specific Plan will build upon Pasadena’s tradition of strong sense of place, great neighborhoods, plazas, open spaces, and trees, where people of all ages, social, and economic background can live, work and play.”
