At12:25 p.m., officer responded to a residence in the 700 block of Southview Roadregarding the theft of a bicycle. An investigation revealed an unknown suspectstole the bike by cutting the lock and removing it from the victim’s patio.
At5:56 p.m., officers responded to T-Mobile, 1230 S.Golden West Ave., regarding a theft report. An investigation revealed anunknown suspect entered the store, stole a black Apple iWatch and fled thescene in an unknown direction. The investigation is ongoing.
July27
At2:12 p.m., officers responded to 7-Eleven, 102 E. Huntington Drive, regarding arobbery that had just occurred. A male suspect stole a can of beer andbrandished a knife when confronted by a store employee. He fled the scene andwas located by officers. The suspect brandished the knife at officers beforecomplying and throwing it to the ground. The can of beer was recovered and the48-year-old male from Los Angeles was arrested and transported to the ArcadiaCity Jail for booking.
At9:20 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 600 block of Duarte Roadregarding the report of a missing person. The missing person, an elderlyfemale, left to get food and didn’t return. She was located by officers of theLos Angeles Police Department and returned safely to her home.
July28
At3:20 a.m., officers responded to Savers Thrift Store, 16 E. Live Oak Ave.,regarding a burglary. An investigation revealed an unknown male suspect smashedthe glass door to the front of the business. He entered the business and prieda locked and empty cash register. The suspect fled the scene. The investigationis ongoing.
At9:07 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 00 block of Alice Streetregarding a vehicle burglary. The victim last saw his car intact around 6 p.m. theprevious night. An unknown suspect smashed the rear window of the vehicle,stole the victim’s checkbook and debit card, and fled the scene in an unknowndirection.
July29
At11:40 p.m., officers responded to Residence Inn, 321 E. Huntington Drive,regarding a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers heard a verbal altercationbetween a male and female. Officers contacted the couple inside their room anddiscovered the fight had turned physical when the male threw his girlfriend tothe ground leaving her with visible injuries. The 27-year-old male fromBakersfield was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At5:06 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the1700 block of Vista Circle regarding suspicious circumstances. The residentreceived unknown seeds in the mail from an unknown person in China. The seedswere reported to the U.S. Department of Agriculture who took custody of theseeds.
July30
At2:17 a.m., officers received a hit notification of a stolen vehicle in the areaSanta Anita Avenue and Colorado Boulevard. Officers located the vehicle occupiedby three suspects. An investigation revealed the suspects were in possession ofmultiple pieces of stolen mail, burglary tools, and a meth pipe. Two of thesuspects had outstanding warrants for their arrests. The 21-year-old female,23-year-old male, and 30-year-old male, from El Monte, were arrested andtransported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At3:36 a.m., an officer responded to a call of asuspicious occupied vehicle parked in a business parking lot on the 11,000block of Clark Street. The officer contacted the male driver and femalepassenger inside the vehicle. An investigation revealed the driver had anoutstanding warrant for his arrest. Further investigation revealed he was aconvicted felon in possession of methamphetamine, two meth pipes, and a stungun. The 32-year-old male from Huntington Beach was arrested and transported tothe Arcadia City Jail for booking.
July31
At11:01 a.m., officers responded to a business in the 1000 block of South BaldwinAvenue regarding a domestic dispute. An elderly male pushed his elderly wife tothe ground during an argument. He then brandished a knife and threatened tokill his daughter. The 73-year-old male from San Gabriel was arrested andtransported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At10:50 p.m., an officer was patrolling the area of HollyAvenue and Campus Drive when he observed a driver operating his vehicle withthe headlights turned off. The vehicle had major damage to the front end andthe passenger airbag had been deployed. The driver side tire was also missing.The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and detected a strong odorof alcohol emitting from the driver. Through a series of tests, the officerdetermined the 22-year-old male from La Habra wasdriving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. He was arrested andtransported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
Aug.1
At1:29 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of West Duarte Road and SouthBaldwin Avenue regarding a traffic collision that had just occurred. A drivercollided with the center median uprooting several trees. Officers contacted themale driver and noticed an opened can of beer on the passenger floorboard. Theofficer also detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from the driver.Through a series of tests, the officer determined the 34-year-oldmale from Arcadia was driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.The suspect was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At2:32 p.m., an officer responded to Taco Treat, 74 E. Live Oak Ave., regardingthe report of a battery that had just occurred. The male suspect approached a patronfrom behind and began yelling at him before forcefully pushing him and almostknocking him to the ground. Another patron intervened and the suspect fled thescene in a vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
