Pasadena Police Release Photo of Suspect Vehicle Involved in Murder

OnSaturday, May 23, 2020, at approximately 4:10 p.m., Pasadena Police Officersresponded to the 1500 block of North Lake Avenue regarding a shooting that hadoccurred. Officers arrived on scene and located an unresponsive male who waslater identified as 24-year-old Ray Magee Jr. of Duarte. He was riding inside ablack Toyota Camry with another male. Magee was transported to a local hospitalwhere he succumbed to his injuries. The second victim is a 23-year old male whosustained a gunshot wound but survived. Moreover, the second victim was not a Pasadenaresident either.

Surveillancevideo obtained by the Pasadena Police Department, captured the suspect vehicle.The vehicle is described as a silver 2017 Dodge Charger with tinted windows.The suspect(s) responsible for the murder and attempted murder of the two victimswere last seen fleeing southbound on Lake Avenue.

Sincethe initial investigation, homicide detectives have been following up oninformation provided by witnesses. Although the motive remains unconfirmed, allinformation and investigative leads suggest a feud between a local Pasadenagang and a rival gang from the Duarte area which recently resurfaced in earlyMay 2020, prior to this murder.

HomicideDetectives continue to seek additional information and any witnesses who mayhave information regarding this murder and attempted murder.
