Between Saturday, June 20, and Tuesday morning, June 23, Monrovia residents reported sightings of an adult mountain lion in the area of the 800 block of West Olive Avenue and the 600 block of South Monterey Avenue, which is a residential neighborhood. The California Department of Fish and Game Warden has been notified and are en route to evaluate the situation.
Residents are cautioned to be extra vigilant and to not leave pets or small children unattended. If you see the mountain lion in your yard, make loud noises, avoid approaching the animal, and notify the Monrovia Police Department immediately at (626) 256-8000.
