June8

At 4:16 a.m., officers responded to the 1000block of Singing Wood Drive regarding a male suspect seen on surveillancecameras stealing mail from a mailbox. The officers located the suspect anddiscovered he was in possession of more than 150 pieces of stolen mail, drugs,drug paraphernalia, stolen sunglasses, forged checks, and a concealed knife.The 33-year-old male transient from Arcadia was arrested and transported to theArcadia City Jail for booking.

At 9:39 a.m., an officer responded toFortunella, located at 11639 Goldring Road, Unit B, regarding a commercialburglary investigation. The investigation revealed unknown suspects entered thebusiness through an unsecured roof hatch and fled with blank checks. Thesuspects then smashed a glass door connecting Unit B to Unit A. Once insideUnit A, they ransacked the drawers and cabinets and damaged the camera systemcomputer. The investigation is pending a review of surveillance footage.

At 4:08 p.m., an officer responded to Arcadia210 Self Storage, located at 324 N. Second Ave., regarding a commercialburglary report. The victim discovered his storage unit had been broken intosometime between mid-January and June 8 and miscellaneous tools, a laptop, andcar stereos had been stolen. There is no suspect information at this time.

At 6:39 p.m., officers responded to the 100block of West Huntington Drive regarding a male subject seen carrying a meatcleaver in his pants. After agreeing to pat-down search, an officer located a10-inch unsheathed meat cleaver concealed in his pants. The 19-year-old maletransient from Arcadia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jailfor booking.

June9

At 11:54 a.m., an officer responded to aresidence in the 100 block of El Dorado Street regarding a vandalism report.The reporting party discovered the community mailbox had been damaged sometimebetween June 6 and June 9. It is unknown if any mail was stolen. There is nosuspect information at the time of this report.

At 9:32 p.m., an officer responded to the 900block of Holly Avenue regarding a theft from vehicle report. Surveillancefootage revealed an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle andfled on a skateboard with a GPS navigation device. The suspect is described asa Hispanic male in his mid-thirties, wearing a blue hat, white T-shirt, blackjeans, and a neon yellow shirt hanging from his rear pocket. The investigationis ongoing.

June10

At 1:48 a.m., an officer responded to 411 E.Huntington Drive regarding a commercial burglary report. The officer discoveredunidentified suspect(s) smashed the front windows of Basil Thai Cooking, Unit103, and Lanzhou Beef Noodles, Unit 102, sometime between June 9 at 10 p.m. andJune 10 at 2 a.m. The loss is unknown and the investigation is pending a reviewof any located surveillance footage.  

At 5:35 a.m., an officer responded to SalonMotif, located at 53 E. Foothill Blvd., regarding a commercial burglary report.An investigation revealed unknown suspect(s) smashed a window on the front door,ransacked the office, and fled. There was no reported loss because the businesswas closed.  There is no suspectinformation at this time.

June11

At 12:18 a.m., an officer responded to aresidence in the 400 block of East Live Oak Avenue regarding a vehicle burglaryreport.  The victim discovered an unknownsuspect tampered with his driver’s door lock, ignition, and noticed hisignition wires had been cut. Although the suspect was unable steal the victim’scar, the suspect did steal the victim’s vaping tools. There is no suspectinformation at the time of this report.

At 4:13 p.m., an officerresponded to a residence in the 900 block of West Orange Grove Street regardinga mail theft report. The victim found his mail box open and empty. The victimbelieves his mail was stolen from his mailbox. There is no suspect informationat this time.

June12

At 5:28 p.m., an officer responded to aresidence in the 1700 block of Mayflower Avenue regarding a residentialburglary report. An officer determined an unknown suspect entered the residenceby opening an unsecured window and fled with a Ring doorbell camera. Thesuspect pried the garage door, but was unable to enter the garage. There is nosuspect information at the time of this report.

At 6:46 p.m., an officerresponded to a residence in the 200 block of West Live Oak Avenue regarding apackage theft report. Surveillance footage revealed a lone male suspect stoletwo of the victim’s packages from her porch. The investigation is pending areview of the surveillance footage.

June13

At 1:31 a.m., an officer responded to theResidence Inn, located at 321 E. Huntington Drive regarding a suspiciouslyoccupied vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and discovered a female subjectsleeping inside. A records check revealed the 31-year-old resident of Mira Lomawas on felony probation for burglary. During a search of her purse and vehicle,the officer located stolen property, heroin, and drug paraphernalia. Thesuspect was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

At 2:56 p.m., an officer responded to aresidence in the 1600 block of Oakwood Avenue regarding a report of a motherthreatening her adult daughter with a knife. The 66-year-old female fromArcadia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
