24 Hour Fitness to Close One Pasadena Location

On Monday, gym chain 24 Hour Fitness filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and announced it will be closing 100 locations across the country, with 18 of those closures happening in Southern California. The 24 Hour Fitness located at 465 N. Halstead St. in Pasadena is among the Southland closures.

“If it were not for Covid-19 and its devastating effects, we would not be filing for Chapter 11,” CEO Tony Ueber said in a statement. “We expect to have substantial financing with a path to restructuring our balance sheet and operations to ensure a resilient future.”

The locations closing in Southern California include:

  1. Downtown L.A.: 6th Street, 505 S. Flower St., Los Angeles.
  2. Glendale: 240 N. Brand Blvd., Glendale.
  3. Hawaiian Gardens Super Sport: 12120 Carson St., Hawaiian Gardens.
  4. Montclair Active: 9750 Central Ave., Montclair.
  5. Moreno Valley Fit Lite: 23750 Alessandro Blvd., Moreno Valley.
  6. Palmdale West: 1335 Rancho Vista Blvd., Palmdale.
  7. Pasadena: 465 N. Halstead St., Pasadena.
  8. Simi Valley-Tapo Active Dry: 2350 Tapo St., Simi Valley.
  9. South Hills Plaza Active: 1422 Azusa Ave., West Covina.
  10. The Promenade Super Sport: 1417 Second St., Santa Monica.
  11. Victorville: 16200 Bear Valley Road
  12. Anaheim Garden Walk: 400 W. Disney Way, Suite 94, Anaheim.
  13. Costa Mesa: 1600 Adams Ave., Costa Mesa.
  14. Fountain Valley: 18305 Brookhurst St., Fountain Valley.
  15. Irvine Spectrum Sport: 517 Spectrum Center Drive, Irvine.
  16. Laguna Hills: 25252 McIntyre St., Suite A, Laguna Hills.
