Pasadena Shooting Victim in Critical Condition

On Thursday at about 10:45 a.m., Pasadena PoliceDepartment (PPD) received several calls of shots fired in the 100 block ofPainter Street. Officers arrived on scene and located the adult victim on thegrass area of the apartment complex.

Paramedics arrived on scene and transported thevictim in critical condition to a local hospital. Officers canvassed the areafor evidence and witnesses. Pasadena detectives responded to the scene andbegan their investigation.

PPD says it appears the victim was standing onthe sidewalk in front of the property when the suspect vehicle drove upalongside and shot at the victim, striking him in the torso area. According toPPD, it has been reported by witnesses that the suspect vehicle may have been agrey colored sedan which was occupied by at least two suspects.

This is an active investigation and detectivesare currently following up with leads. The motive remains unknown.
