NAACP solidarity vigil for George Floyd Slated For Tuesday Evening, June 2

ThePasadena branch of the National Association for the Advancement of ColoredPeople (NAACP) and the National Association of Day Labors (NDLON) along withfaith leaders from the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance (IMA and theCommunity Clergy Coalition (CCC) will be leading a peaceful Vigil for GeorgeFloyd, who was murdered at the hands (knee) of police in Minneapolis Minnesota.

 “The death of Brother Floyd is a continuationof murders of African American men. Now is the time to speak up about it. Weplan to convene at 5:00 pm at First AME Church and caravan in vehicles throughthe streets of Pasadena, practicing physical distancing, in peaceful protestfor the death of George Floyd, to Pasadena City Hall. Speakers from eachorganization will discuss healing and action for change,” according to a NAACPpress release.
