May 17

At8:32 a.m., an officer responded to SLJ Real Estate, located at 836 S. BaldwinAve., regarding a commercial burglary investigation. A store employee enteredthe business and encountered a subject in the office. After confronting thesubject, the male fled on foot, northbound on Baldwin Avenue. The employee thennoticed two checkbooks and an undisclosed amount of money missing from thebusiness. The suspect was described as a 6-foot tall male, approximately 150pounds, and he was seen wearing dark clothing. The investigation is ongoingpending a review of additional surveillance footage.

OnMay 17, an officer responded to the 500 block of West Huntington Driveregarding a report of a stolen catalytic converter. The victim discovered hiscatalytic converter had been removed from his vehicle sometime between May 14and 15. There is no suspect information at this time.

May 18

At11:52 a.m., an officer responded to the 100 block ofEast Santa Clara Street regarding a stolen vehicle report. Surveillance footagerevealed a small pick-up truck towed away the victim’s enclosed trailer, whichhad been parked in front of the victim’s business. The theft occurred at 10:52p.m. on May 17. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a small, white pick-uptruck with the driver’s side of the bed painted black. The investigation isongoing.

At5:13 p.m., an officer responded to the 400 block of East Duarte Road regardinga mail tampering report. The officer determined an unidentified suspect priedopen the community mailbox sometime between May 11 at 5 p.m. and May 18 at 4:30p.m. There was no mail in the mailboxes when the officer arrived. There was nosuspect information at the time of this report.

May 19

At1:59 p.m., an officer took a telephonic fraud report for a resident of the 500block of West Live Oak Avenue. The victim stated he lost his wallet and sincethen, he noticed fraudulent transactions on his Capital One and Bank of Americacards. The suspect(s) charged a total of $822.51 in fraudulent purchases. Thevictim did not desire prosecution.

May 20

At12:47 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 400 block of West LemonAvenue regarding a vehicle burglary report. The victim discovered hispassenger-side front window had been smashed and the suspect(s) fled with a boxof latex gloves. Surveillance footage revealed the suspect is a Hispanic male,approximately 15 to 25-years-old, who was seen wearing an “LA” blue and whitehooded sweatshirt. The victim will provide the police department a copy of thefootage at a later date.

At5:56 p.m., an officer responded to CVS Pharmacy, located at 1401 S. BaldwinAve., regarding a battery incident. An investigation revealed the victim waspushed from behind as he was exiting CVS. When the victim turned to confrontthe suspect, surveillance footage revealed the suspect and victim exchangedwords before a fight ensued. Both fought until the suspect ultimately fled in awhite Honda Accord.  The victim sustaineda small cut to his right eye and Arcadia Paramedics responded to treat thevictim. The investigation is ongoing.

May 21

At2:15 p.m., an officer took a telephonic report of mail tampering in the 2500block of South Third Avenue. Sometime between May 17 and May 20, the victim’smail box has been tampered with and the victim found his mail box without anymail in it. There is no suspect information at this time.

May 22

At9:10 a.m., an officer responded to Ocean Line Logistics, located at 630 W.Duarte Road, regarding a commercial burglary report. The victim determinedunidentified suspect(s) entered by damaging the front door lock; then onceinside, they stole a computer server and a security camera. There is no suspectinformation at this time.

At3:54 p.m., an officer took a telephonic report of apackage theft from a residence in the 00 block of Andrea Lane. Surveillancefootage revealed a lone suspect stole two packages from his porch at 1:05 a.m.on May 22. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a thin build, darkshort hair, a goatee, was wearing a windbreaker jacket, shorts, and reflectiveathletic shoes. The suspect fled in a light colored, unknown model, four-doorsedan. The investigation is ongoing.

May 23

At5:05 a.m., an officer responded to the intersection of Huntington Drive andFifth Avenue regarding a domestic battery investigation, which involved averbal disagreement between an ex-boyfriend and ex-girlfriend. The argumentescalated into the male suspect stealing the female’s tablet and dragging heragainst her will. The female transient did not sustain any injuries or markingsfrom the incident. The suspect was identified as a 46-year-old male transientfrom Los Angeles. The investigation is ongoing.

At8:58 a.m., the Arcadia Police Department received an electronically submittedreport for a package theft that occurred in the 00 block of West FoothillBoulevard. The victim discovered her Costco package went missing after it wasdelivered to her home. There is no suspect information at this time.

At12:51 p.m., an officer responded to the 1400 block of Rodeo Road regarding amail theft report. The suspect was witnessed stealing a resident’s mail, gotinto a white Ford SUV, and fled eastbound on Orange Grove Avenue. The suspectwas described as a heavy set, white or Hispanic female, in her 30s. Thereporting party provided the officer with a photo of the suspect. Theinvestigation is ongoing.

At7:45 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 200 block of CarolwoodDrive regarding a residential burglary report. The officer discovered the rearsliding glass door had been pried open and miscellaneous items of sentimentalvalue had been stolen from the home. A cigarette butt was left behind in one ofthe bedrooms and was collected as evidence. The officer did not locate anysurveillance footage, witnesses, or additional suspect information.
