May 10

At 10:31 a.m., anofficer responded to the United States Postal Service, located at 41 WheelerAve., regarding a package theft investigation. As the postal workers weresorting packages in the unsecured rear parking lot, they witnessed the suspecttake one of the packages. Officers located the suspect and identified him as a35-year-old male from Pasadena. He was arrested and transported to the ArcadiaCity Jail for booking.

At 3:22 p.m., officers responded to the Westfield Santa Anita Mall,located at 400 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a subject looking inside parkedvehicles. The reporting party watched as the suspect enter and stole a blackSUV. As officers arrived, they located the suspect in the stolen vehicle as itexited the parking lot. The suspect was identified as a 35-year-old male fromPasadena who was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

May 11

At 8:20 p.m.,officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of West Huntington Driveregarding a battery report. Surveillance footage revealed a gardening disputebetween neighbors escalated when the suspect, a 65-year-old female fromArcadia, grabbed her neighbor by the shirt and ripped her shirt. The victim didnot desire prosecution.

At 11:37 p.m.,officers responded to a residence in the 1000 block of West Huntington Driveregarding a battery report. A family dispute occurred between a mother and heradult daughter. When the father stepped in to help break up the fight, the daughterrammed her head into her father’s chest and punched him in the chest. Thesuspect is a 30-year-old female from Arcadia. The investigation is ongoing.

May 12

At 5:55 a.m., anofficer responded to Arcadia Par 3 Golf Course, located at 620 E. Live Oak Ave.,regarding a commercial burglary investigation. The reporting party discoveredcut chain link fences, the glass door to the pro shop/snack bar had beensmashed, and the cash drawer from the register was missing. The suspect(s) alsostole a can of beer from the refrigerator. There was no suspect information at the time of this report. Theinvestigation is pending a review of the golf course’s surveillance footage.

At 2:45 p.m., anofficer responded to Kids, Love, Play, located at 52 E. Live Oak Ave.,regarding a burglary report. The business owner believes the suspect(s) likelyentered through the front door, and while inside, they discharged a fireextinguisher leaving a yellow powder throughout the first floor. Upon searchingthe location, the owner discovered her credit card reader, monitoring camera,and a drawer containing $50 cash had been stolen. Later, the owner was able toconnect to her stolen camera and she observed a male Hispanic subject,approximately 40 to 50-years-old, laying on a bed. The investigation isongoing.

At 5:48 p.m., anofficer took a telephonic report of grand theft. The victim discovered hisChase credit card reward points valued at $1,274.91 had been cashed out,transferred to a Green Dot bank account, and all without the victim’spermission. The victim does not know how the suspect accessed his account norhas any suspect information.

At 7:13 p.m., anofficer responded to a residence in the 400 block of East Live Oak Avenueregarding a residential burglary report. Sometime during the previous night,unknown suspect(s) entered the apartment through a locked window and fled withjewelry, a cellphone, and PINK brand clothing. There was no suspect informationat the time of this report.

May 13

At 7:13 a.m., anofficer responded to Tea Brick, located at 1 W. Duarte Road, regarding acommercial burglary report. The reporting party determined the south sidewindow had been smashed and the suspect(s) fled with a tablet and approximately$400 cash. The victim was unable to provide the officer with a copy of thesurveillance footage. There is no suspect information at this time.

While investigatingthe Tea Brick burglary, the officer was notified that a neighboring business, Joker’sKoffee, located at 1 W. Duarte Road, had also been burglarized. The north sidewindow had been smashed and the suspect(s) fled with $4,500 from the register.The victim was unable to provide the officer with any surveillance footage atthe time of the report. Both investigations are ongoing.

May 14

At 9:20 a.m., anofficer responded to Korean Market, located at 171 E. Live Oak Ave., regardinga burglary report. Surveillance footage captured a lone suspect enter thebusiness and immediately grab the cash bag from behind the register. Thesuspect then took a tablet from the counter and exited through the broken frontglass door.  He was described as aHispanic male, approximately 5-foot-7, around 150 pounds, and was seen wearinga white long sleeve shirt, dark colored pants, a black hat, and black gloves.He also had a facemask around his chin and had a white cigarette in his mouth.The investigation is ongoing.

At 3:26 p.m., an officer responded to Arcadia Methodist Hospital,located at 300 W. Huntington Drive, regarding a vehicle burglary report. Thevictim parked her vehicle on the third floor of the parking structure andsometime between 9:51 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on May 14. During that time, anunknown suspect smashed her vehicle’s window and fled with the victim’sbackpack. The investigation is pending a review of the parking lot’ssurveillance footage.

May 15

At 9:29 a.m., anofficer responded to Eisenhower Park, located at 601 N. Second Ave., regardinga grand theft report. The construction company discovered various pieces ofconstruction equipment had gone missing sometime between May 1 and May 11.There is no suspect information at this time.

At 6:13 p.m., an officer took a telephonic report of a mail theftfrom the 200 block of Arbolada Drive. Surveillance footage revealed thevictim’s mail, including two packages containing collector coins valued at morethan $1,000 were delivered. Three minutes later, the suspect arrived and stolethe victim’s mail. The suspect is described as a white female, approximately5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8, with a larger build, long brown hair in a ponytail, andshe was seen wearing a white short-sleeve shirt, blue shorts, white tennisshoes, and sunglasses. She was seen driving a newer model, white Ford Edge. Theinvestigation is ongoing.

May 16

At 10 a.m., anofficer responded to the Santa Anita Race Track, located at 285 W. HuntingtonDrive, regarding a vandalism report. The victim, an employee of the racetrack,discovered her car had been spray painted and dented. A possible suspect is thevictim’s ex-boyfriend, a 29-year-old male from Arcadia. The incident appearedto be due to ongoing relationship problems between the suspect and victim. Areview of the racetrack’s surveillance footage is pending. The investigation isongoing.

At 10:26 p.m., anofficer responded to a driveway in the 2500 block of South Fourth Avenueregarding a theft from vehicle report. The victim discovered unknown suspect(s)entered her unlocked vehicle and fled with backpack and various permits in thevictim’s name. There is no suspect information at this time.
