The City ofArcadia has created a COVID-19 Small Business Grant Program under the newArcadia Works economic recovery plan, utilizing $245,000 in Community DevelopmentBlock Grant (CDBG) funds. “The publichealth emergency orders that have been issued to combat the COVID-19 pandemicand the negative economic impact on businesses have created an unprecedentedneed to direct financial resources to Arcadia’s small business community,” saidJason Kruckeberg, assistant city manager/development services director. “TheCity is doing what it can to help keep business moving under the existingpublic health orders, and is committed to assisting businesses once they canultimately reopen as these orders are lifted.”
