Le Meridien by Marriott in Arcadia is Taking Shape
The former Santa Anita Inn, now razed, is the site for an ambitious new $300 million hotel and mixed-used condominium project opposite the Santa Anita Race Track. Construction has been swift, albeit delayed a bit this week due to the rain.
Developer Chateau Group USA held a ceremonial groundbreaking for the hotel and mixed-use development on June 27, 2018.
Le Meridien by Marriott is phase one of the $300 milliondevelopment. Situated on 6.15 acres, Chateau Group USA has retained PacificaHotels as the management company for the hotel’s 227 rooms, suites, and food.
Snyder Langston has been busy with the construction for the Le Meridien development. The property will provide a cosmopolitan rooftop pool and bar with full food service. A 24-foot long Redwood bench anchors the lobby’s 20-foot masterpiece glass wall which has been hand-carved in California. “The bench is made from one of the original Redwoods, which was growing on the property and was carefully removed and repurposed, preserving a piece of the site’s heritage,” according to a press release sent out. Le Meridien will also present a full service spa adjacent to the property and a world-class Asian-fusion dining experience in the hotel restaurant.
The hotel will have a spacious California-style, seamlessindoor-outdoor ballroom for weddings and special corporate events. A 20-foothigh glass wall will overlook the lush garden.
Completion date of construction is still undecided as of presstime.
