Figuring Out the Relationship Between the San Gabriel Mountains and Arcadia
The relationship between the San Gabriel Mountains and Arcadia will berevealed at the Arcadia Community Coordinating Council on Apr. 6 from 11:30a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 400 W. Duarte Road,Arcadia.
The City of Arcadia restsat the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. These mountains cover 970 squaremiles across Southern California. Russell Tuttle, a 14-year veteran of the United States Forest Service, will go over the history of themountains, how they became a national monument and their relationship toArcadia.
Tuttle joined theU.S Forest Service after serving as a heavy equipment mechanic and teacher forover 10 years in the U.S. Air Force. He is a graduate of National AmericanUniversity where he majored in applied management.
