The United Teachers of Pasadena Endorse Victor Gordo in Mayoral Race
Pasadena City Councilmember Victor Gordo has received the endorsement of the United Teachers of Pasadena.
In announcing their endorsement of Councilmember Gordo, the United Teachers of Pasadena said:
“The members of the United Teachers of Pasadena are proud to endorse Victor Gordo for Mayor of Pasadena because he is the advocate for public education that we need in City Hall to ensure that our schools are well-funded and that every student in our city receives the high-quality education they deserve. As a product of our public schools and someone who is married to a public school teacher, Victor understands firsthand how a high-quality education provides [an] unmatched opportunity to anyone, regardless of their background. Victor has proven himself to be a dedicated champion for public education and is the right leader for the job.”
Recently, Gordo’s campaign began airing its first television advertisement on cable TV throughout the city. Titled, “Bogaard Endorsement” the spot features former Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard touting his support of Gordo’s campaign for citywide office.
Since launching his campaign for mayor, Gordo has amassed support from the Pasadena Firefighters Association, IAFF Local 809 and former Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard, who is co-chairing his campaign.
