Looking for an opportunity to learn more about the early history in Pasadena? Perhaps the upcoming docent training Pasadena Heritage is offering to local residents may be the answer to get you started.

On Jan. 25 at the Madison House, on 651 S. St John Ave., Pasadena Heritage will have a free orientation for their upcoming docent training which will focus on early history in Pasadena, Pasadena Heritage’s involvement with the local community and architectural history in the city.

The training will feature PowerPoint presentations, walking tours of historic routes, home tours and the opportunity to have one-on-one discussions with expert docents. You will also learn about docent general guidelines and strategies.

The upcoming initial meeting on Saturday, Jan. 25, will be from 9 a.m. to noon and will continue once a month throughout the year.

If you decide to enroll during orientation, Pasadena Heritage will be asking for a $20 donation to cover material costs.
