Monrovia Reads, the local literacy non-profit,is bringing author Julie Anne Cowell to Monrovia to talk about her books. Sheis the author of the King Street series of books for young people. OnThursday, Jan. 16 she will discuss why she writes these books thatencourage young people.

The event will run from 6 to 8 p.m. and willinclude a question and answer period. There will also be an opportunityfor everyone to have their book(s) signed and even a chance to purchaseadditional books. Refreshments will be served.

This is a good chance to meet a local author(she and her husband live here in Southern California) and to mix with otherbook lovers.
