Construction crews will begin to replace the concrete roadway that was damaged and removed as a part of an earlier underground utility project. In order to facilitate efficient and safe roadwork, the 800 block of South Myrtle, from Walnut to Chestnut Avenues, will be closed to vehicular traffic through Jan. 10.

Traffic detours have been established and clearly marked for the motoring public. Additionally, motorists are advised to drive safely and follow all posted detour and construction signage. If possible, drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes.

The construction work will not affect businesses on the 800 block of South Myrtle and all businesses will remain open and accessible.
