Moonlight Forest Lantern Art Festival at Los Angeles Arboretum, Jan. 3-5 and Jan. 8-9 from 5:30-10 p.m. (301 N. Baldwin Ave., Arcadia, CA 91007). Step into the jaws of a shark, walk through a tunnel of lights timed to music, delight in an igloo full of penguins and interact with the displays. Tickets range from $23-$28. Treat yourself and invest in something fun this new year; learn this authentic style of Cuban flavor salsa. This six-week workshop will include standard Cuban dance combinations that can be used in partner dancing and Rueda de Casino. No partner needed. The cost is $75 for six classes. Join Head of Education Michelle Brenner for a closer look at Edgar Degas’s Women Ironing. This program is free with admission and space is limited.
