Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Monrovia with Two Special Events

Residents and visitors are invited to ring inthe new year on Myrtle Avenue with two very special events.

NoonYear’s Eve

On Dec. 31, gather in Library Park for NoonYear’s Eve. Since midnight may be too late for young children to stay awake,Noon Year’s Eve was created to celebrate New Year’s Eve during the daytime.Activities include story time, live music, arts and crafts, inflatable obstaclecourse, games and a special countdown to Noon Year’s Eve. All ages are welcomedto participate in family fun activities.

This event is completely free to the public andwill take place in Library Park at 321 S. Myrtle Ave., from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

On Dec. 31, the City of Monrovia, along with theMonrovia Old Town Advisory Board and the Old Town Merchants, are set to presentthe annual New Year’s Eve on Myrtle Avenue beginning at 7 p.m.  

There will be live music, a wide selection ofrestaurants offering an enhanced outdoor dining and drinking experience and acelebratory ball lighting at midnight.

For those who will be joining the celebration:

  • Through GoMonrovia, those traveling tothe event, within city boundaries, can request a Lyft ride for a $5 classicride or $1 shared ride.
  • Parking in Old Town Monrovia is free, butlimited due to the event’s size. Consider carpooling and arriving early. Visit the city online to learn more about parking options.
  • Childcare services will be provided, atthe Monrovia Community Center, at the cost of $25/child for residents and$50/child for non-residents.
  • Admission to the event is free to thepublic.
