AEF’s Year-End Giving Donation Drive: Help Spread Holiday Cheer
The Arcadia Educational Foundation (AEF) invites the community to kick-off holiday gift-giving with a gift to the AEF. A donation to AEF promotes a world-class education in 11 Arcadia Unified schools and enhances learning opportunities for the nearly 10,000 students in the district.
A donation of $100 or more to AEF at arcadiaedfoundation.org/donate is also an entrance to win a relaxing stay at the Embassy Suites. Two lucky winners will be notified on Jan. 10, 2020. Each winner will receive a one night stay gift certificate valued at $209.
Education truly is the gift that keeps on giving. An excellent education not only equips students with the tools needed to achieve their academic goals but also empowers them with much-needed life skills to succeed beyond school halls. Unfortunately, great public education isn’t free. With California state funding for public schools ranking at an abysmal 44th in the nation, Arcadia Unified is in need of everyone’s support through financial investments to help ensure Arcadia Unified students have access to educational programs that are essential to academic success but are impossible without community support.
Every year, AEF strives to make a direct impact on the educational experiences of all Arcadia Unified students through ongoing community fundraising campaigns, funds which are used to support access to superior educational services and programs. For the 2019-2020 school year, AEF has provided mini-grants to 30 Arcadia Unified applicants in the amount of $28,270.30 to enrich the classroom curriculum and enhance learning through its mini-grant program. AEF also continues to fund the district’s access to SchoolMessenger, a critical district-wide communication system, which costs $15,345.60, and is vital to helping the district convey important information and announcements to Arcadia parents and community members. In addition, AEF supports programs like Naviance and Counseling Services to help K-12 students with college preparedness. AEF also provides services, such as a tuition-based annual summer school program and the annual Scrip program, to further educational opportunities for all students.
Financial support from the community is vital to help AEF make a difference in maintaining an excellent educational experience for Arcadia Unified students. AEF invites the community to partner with it to build brighter futures for students by considering a year-end gift of $100, or any amount, which can be made at arcadiaedfoundation.org/donate.
