At 7:54 p.m., an officer knew of a subject living at a residence in the 400 block of Monrovista who had a warrant for her arrest. Officers arrived at the residence and identified the subject. She was arrested and taken into custody.
At 9:07 p.m., an officer was on patrol in the 1700 block of South Myrtle when he noticed a bicyclist riding at night without lights. He stopped the subject and a computer check revealed he had a warrant for his arrest. The subject was arrested and taken into custody.
Nov. 15
At 5:06 p.m., a manager from a business in the 1600 block of South Mountain called to report a theft. The manager reported two employees were being detained in the office for stealing store merchandise. An officer arrived and conducted an investigation. At the completion of the investigation the two employees were issued citations for petty theft.
At 5:57 p.m., an employee from a business in the 100 block of West Duarte called to report a theft. A male adult entered the business, ordered fries and handed the cashier three one-dollar bills. The cashier opened the register and the subject reached over the counter and took $60.00 dollars from the cash drawer. The subject ran out of the business and entered a waiting pick-up truck. The investigation is continuing.
At 6:01 p.m., a caller reported that a female driver was driving in the 700 block of East Foothill when she fell asleep and struck three parked vehicles. Police officers as well as Paramedics responded and treated the driver at the scene. The driver had two warrants one for drugs and one for burglary. She was arrested and taken into custody.
At 7:31 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of West Colorado on the report of vandalism. The victim reported someone threw a rock through the front window of his residence, shattering the double pane glass. Officers searched the area for the suspect, but were unable to locate anyone. The investigation is continuing.
At 8:01 p.m., an employee of a store in the 400 block of West Huntington reported that two male Hispanic subjects had just fled the store taking multiple bottles of vitamins and pills without paying. The investigation is continuing.
At 9:27 p.m., an officer was patrolling the area of Myrtle and Duarte when he saw a female subject on a bicycle commit a Vehicle Code violation. He stopped the bicyclist and a computer check revealed she had a warrant for her arrest. The subject was arrested and taken into custody.
At 10:43 p.m., an officer was patrolling the 200 block of Railroad when he saw a subject he recognized from previous contact. A computer check revealed he had a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. The subject was stopped and found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a pipe. The subject was taken into custody without incident.
At 10:48 p.m., an officer was patrolling the 1600 block of South Mayflower when he saw a bicyclist commit a Vehicle Code violation. He stopped the subject, and a computer check revealed he had a warrant for his arrest. He was also found to be in possession of Heroin and two hypodermic syringes. The subject was arrested and taken into custody without incident.
Nov. 16
At 4 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of West Walnut regarding a domestic violence. The male victim called to report the female suspect would not leave his residence. Officers responded and determined the male and female were in a dating relationship and got into an argument over alleged infidelity. The female became physically aggressive toward the male and scratched him on his chest with her nails. The injuries were moderate and visible. The female was arrested and taken into custody.
Nov. 17
At 1 p.m., an employee from a business in the 600 block of West Huntington called to report a theft. An adult African-American male entered the store and approached a display rack. The subject grabbed an I-Phone 11, pulled the security cable off and fled the location. The investigation is continuing.
Nov. 18
At 8:58 a.m., an officer was patrolling the area of Huntington and Encino when he saw a driver commit a vehicle code violation. A traffic stop was conducted and a computer check revealed he had 2 outstanding warrants for his arrest. The subject was arrested per the authority of the warrants and taken into custody.
At 10:55 a.m., an employee from a hotel in the 900 block of South Fifth called to report vandalism. The employee heard someone breaking glass in a room. He went to the room and saw the occupant leave out the front door. The employee looked inside the room and saw the window was shattered, the fluorescent lights were shattered, the sheets were hanging out of the window, and there were swastika’s drawn on the lamp shade and on the walls. Officers responded and conducted an investigation. Information was obtained on the subject’s identity. The investigation is continuing.
At 11 a.m., an employee from a business in the 600 block of West Huntington called to report a male adult took merchandise without paying for it. Officers arrived and located a subject matching the description given by the employee. The subject was detained and the stolen items were recovered. Further investigation revealed the suspect had two outstanding warrants for his arrest. The subject was arrested and taken to the Monrovia Jail for booking.
At 3:01 p.m., officers were dispatched to a business in the 500 block of West Huntington regarding a theft. The caller reported a female white in her 20s had concealed some merchandise and left the location without paying for the items. She was last seen walking west through the parking lot. Officers did an area check and located the female. She did not have any stolen property in her possession but she did have methamphetamine. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody.
At 6:40 p.m., officers responded to a business in the 100 block of West Foothill regarding a robbery that just occurred. A female suspect stole merchandise from the store and when she was approached by two loss prevention employees outside of the store, a dark grey or silver vehicle drove up and two males were inside. One of the male subjects exited from the driver’s seat, approached one of the loss prevention officers and brandished a hand gun. All three subjects drove away in the vehicle. Monrovia Detectives investigated the robbery and later located and arrested the three subjects in a nearby city.
At 9:11 p.m., an employee from a business in the 100 block of West Foothill called to report they had a shoplifter detained in their office. An officer arrived and conducted an investigation. The shoplifter admitted to stealing items and she was issued a citation in the field and released.
At 6:02 a.m., an officer was patrolling the 700 block of South Fifth when he saw a single vehicle non-injury traffic collision. He stopped and assisted the driver. A utility vehicle struck a fire hydrant causing moderate damage. Monrovia Fire Department and Public Works responded as well.
Nov. 19
At 7:46 a.m., a resident in the 700 block of Wildrose called to report his vehicle was broken into while it was parked in front of his home. He locked the doors to his vehicle at 11 p.m. the night before and made sure the windows were rolled up. At approximately 6:30 a.m., he came out and saw that his vehicle had been ransacked. There were no signs of forced entry. This investigation is continuing.
At 8:06 a.m., a resident in the 400 block of Lotone called to report a theft. Items were taken from his unlocked vehicle. He reviewed his RING camera and saw the following: At approximately 3:38 a.m., a male subject, 20 to 25 years of age, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt entered his vehicle which was left unlocked. The male subject took his blue tooth speaker and some additional items. The investigation is continuing.
At 7:38 p.m., a resident in the 600 block of West Lemon called to report a theft from her vehicle. The victim left her Nikon camera and equipment in her unlocked vehicle. Approximately $2,700 worth of camera equipment was stolen between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The investigation is continuing.
Nov. 20
At 7:10 a.m., a passerby called to report a window to the front of a business in the 400 block of West Huntington was shattered. Officers arrived and saw the shattered window. They cleared the business and did not locate anyone inside. The business had been ransacked and there was a roll of nickels lying outside the shattered window in a pile of glass. The investigation is continuing.
