Make a Difference Day is this Saturday and several projects have been identified. Individuals or groups can register to participate by calling Penny Arroyo, the director of the San Gabriel Valley Volunteer Center that organizes the event, at (626) 755-1636. Some of the projects being undertaken this year are repainting the City’s Christmas tree fencing, park beautification and clean-up, and installing and replacing smoke detectors.
