Trick or Treat and Halloween Bash at Library Park from 3-6 p.m. (321 S. Myrtle Ave., Monrovia, CA 91016). The entire afternoon will be filled with ghoulish fun for the entire family including: trick-or-treating in Old Town, costume contest (for kids, adults, groups, families, dogs), activities, a photo booth and more. Oct. 25

Halloween Party at Basin 141 at 9 p.m. to Oct. 26 at 1 a.m. (402 S. Myrtle Ave., Monrovia, CA 91016). Enjoy drink specials, music, popcorn, candy and a costume contest (first prize wins $100 gift card, second place wins a $25 gift card and bottle, third places wins a bottle). 2nd Annual Fall Festival at Santa Anita Family YMCA from 5-9 p.m. (501 S. Mountain Ave., Monrovia, CA 91016). Dress in your best costume and show your imagination at the pumpkin carving and haunted gingerbread house contests. Come hungry and get a burger combo for $6, includes chips and a drink. All proceeds will go to the YMCA Piranha Swim Team. There is a $5 entry fee for the pumpkin carving contest and you must have your own carving tools. For more information, click here.

Tequila Tour 2019 at El Cholo Café from 6-10 p.m. (300 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91101). The event will feature over 50 tequila and mezcal drinks, a variety of Mexican bites, and live entertainment. Community Day of the Dead Celebration on Big Bang Theory Way from 1-7 p.m. (100 block East Colorado Boulevard, Pasadena, CA 91105). Stroll the alley and take in live marimba and mariachi music, craft-making, free calavera face painting and the Community Altar dedicated to loved ones. 2019 Ballet Showcase at Caltech’s Ramo Auditorium from 1:30-7 p.m. (332 S. Michigan Ave., Pasadena, CA 91106). Historic Pub Crawl in Old Pasadena from 2-5 p.m. (meet at Del Mar Metro Goldline Station at 265 S. Arroyo Parkway, Pasadena, CA 91101). This guided walking tour of Pasadena’s original downtown includes stops at pubs distinctive for their history, architecture, and spirits. Ken Stringfellow, founding member of The Posies, brings the full scope of his 30-plus year career as a musician, songwriter, producer, raconteur and boils it down to the simplest of presentations: his voice, his guitar, and the piano. The focus of this hands-on class is to teach the basics of egg based desserts, structure of eggs, and use of eggs in baking. You’ll learn all about the foam method and French meringue. Halloween Haunting and Trick-or-Treating in Downtown Arcadia from 3-6 p.m. (on First Avenue from Huntington to California, Arcadia, CA 91007). Magnolia House of Haunts at Magnolia House at 8 p.m. to Nov. 1 at 1 a.m. (492 S. Lake Ave., Pasadena, CA 91101). On Halloween night, Magnolia House transforms into a haunted house featuring spooky libations, chilling tunes by PRISM DJs, scary movies and a costume contest. Registration is free. Nightmare Before Christmas at One Colorado at 7 p.m. (41 Hugus Alley, Pasadena, CA). Watch this Halloween classic and pick up some candy as more than 100 stores and restaurants in Old Pasadena open their doors to all costumed visitors for free, store-to-store trick-or-treating.
