On a sleepy old Wednesday afternoon in Los Angeles, Union Station was lit with excitement. Golden Boy Promotions held an A class press conference to announce Canelo Alvarez vs Sergey Kovalev that was open to the public.

It is officially fight season in the world of boxing. Golden Boy Promotions along with Main Event Promotions and DAZN brings us another Canelo fight. The press conference was set for 3 pm for media, and 5 pm for the public announcements. The media started to arrive as early as 1:30 pm, and a police presence was already in place at every corner of the historic train station.

Union Station was in it’s glory with velvet roped off areas, and a fresh clean red carpet set up for the boxing royalty. A buffet of Mexican food and traditional Mexican fruit juices was set up on crisp white tablecloths for the media.

The trainers, promoters, and the boxers, all walked the red carpet and took time to speak with every media outlet.
