On Saturday, Sept.14, 2019, at about 11:22 p.m., Pasadena Police responded to the area of Arroyo Boulevard and Seco Street regarding a physical altercation and shots fired. Officers arrived on scene and located the two victims. Pasadena Fire Department paramedics arrived and transported both victims to a local hospital, one in stable condition and the second victim in grave condition.

Despite the life-saving efforts of medical staff, the second victim succumbed to his injury. The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Kamryn Stone, a Los Angeles resident. His father told CBS 2 that Kamryn was on the first day of a job working for a company hired to clean up the area.

The additional victim was only identified as a 51-year-old white male from Los Angeles. He is recovering from a gunshot wound, and is in stable condition.

Pasadena Police Detectives responded to the scene and have taken the lead in furthering the investigation. The motive for the altercation that led to the shooting remains under investigation. Preliminarily it appears this incident may not be random in nature, and the investigation is on-going with no further details being released at this time.
