Award-Winning Documentary ‘The Running Man of Pasadena’ is Available for Public Viewing

The Running Man of Pasadena is an Award Winning Film and is now available for everyone to see.

Local film director Brett Nicolletti received recognition for his film “The Running Man of Pasadena,” which screened at several film festivals in California. The film won Best Documentary at the Sherman Oaks Film Festival and received an Impact Docs Award for Excellence in Short Documentary.
The short film is now available for public viewing via Vimeo and YouTube. The movie features Haik Zakarian, a local resident who has gained local fame in the City of Roses doing what he loves — running. His free spirit and passion for running has captured the hearts of local Pasadenans. Zakarian may not run as much as he used to, due to an injury, but you can still catch a glimpse of him running on Saturday mornings around the Rose Bowl where he runs several miles. “I will never stop,” Haik says, and his determination to get to the finish line is simply inspiring.
For Nicoletti’s next project he plans to feature his local community as well. “I am currently in pre-production on a documentary short film with Repair Cafe Pasadena, a local organization where volunteers from the community come together once every two months for a repair event. The volunteers are made up of engineers, seamstresses, knife sharpeners, hair cutters, Reiki healers and much more. Anyone is welcome to bring their broken toaster, bent jewelry, ripped jeans, etc. to have them fixed for free by a volunteer. It’s in the spirit of zero waste living and gathering together with other members of your community. I’m very grateful to be a part of this project and I’m excited to see where it leads.”
