Autumn Meet to open Friday, Sept. 27

Santa Anita Park, which will play host to the Breeders’ Cup World Championships for a record 10th time on Nov. 1 and 2, will unveil a number of new patron amenities on Friday, Sept. 27, the start of its 23-day Autumn Meet. The areas, which are part of a $5 million capital improvement initiative, will include trackside dining just past the finish line as well as new elevated stretch run suites featuring open air dining with a panoramic view of Santa Anita’s home stretch and San Gabriel Mountains.

In addition to these premium areas, all-new Club Loge box seats, a luxurious players’ lounge (which will play host to the Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge above Clockers’ Corner), as well as upper terrace restaurants on both the fourth and fifth floors overlooking the Club House turn will await fans this fall.

“Customer service and the on-track experience here at Santa Anita are huge priorities for us,” said Aidan Butler, acting executive director of California Racing Operations for The Stronach Group. “The new dining and seating options will greatly enhance that experience and we are looking forward to sharing all of these new venues with our fans and horsemen.”
Following is a listing of Santa Anita’s all-new dining and seating amenities:

Trackside Dining:

This new customer option provides racegoers with a day-long dining and seating experience near the outer rail, just past the finish line. With tables and seating provided on terraced levels, every seat provides a unique “up close and personal” view of the action.

Stretch Run Suites:

Open air suites just west of FrontRunner Restaurants provide an unobstructed view of the racetrack and the San Gabriel Mountains, while providing premium seating and dining.

Club Loge Box Seats:

This will provide fans with additional box seating options on all days, with ready access to food and beverage service.

Players’ Lounge:

Located just above Clockers’ Corner at the top of the stretch, this area will play host to the Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge, and affords players ready access to over 30 big screen television monitors, Wi-Fi, betting windows and food and beverage options.

Upper Terrace Restaurants:

Fans will find brand new, state of the art culinary options on the fourth and fifth floors, overlooking the Club House turn. A wide array of food and beverage options will be available.

“As we prepare to bring the Breeders’ Cup World Championships to Santa Anita for a record 10th time in November, we’re thrilled with what’s being done to upgrade an already tremendous facility,” said Craig Fravel, president and CEO of Breeders’ Cup Limited. “The sightlines at Santa Anita are unparalleled, as is its long, storied history of world class racing dating back to the mid-1930s. These dining and seating upgrades are going to further enhance what has already been an incredible experience for our fans and horsemen over the years and we can’t wait for what should be a great two-day event on Nov. 1st and 2nd.”
