Thursday morning Foothill Unity Center received a call from the Pasadena Police Department informing them that the truck had been retrieved in East Pasadena. The truck seem to have no apparent major damage.

In an email Raina Martinez, development and donor relations director for Foothill Unity Center, shared, “We are so grateful to have it back as it is the more functional of the two trucks we have right now.” According to Martinez, they do not know any further details. She also thanked the community for any tips they may have provided to either the Monrovia or Pasadena police departments.

The 14-foot truck was stolen Wednesday from Foothill Unity Center’s parking lot. The truck is one of two that the center relies on for more than the 100 weekly pick-ups of in-kind food donations valued at over $2 million (annually) from all over the San Gabriel Valley. The food totals approximately 3 million pounds and helps to serve over 6,500 low-income and homeless individuals, including seniors and disabled persons who are isolated, sick and shut-in.
