Rick Custer, father of Amanda Custer, joined authorities from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Thursday at a press conference to ask the public to help find his daughter who has been missing since the morning of July 29.
Homicide investigators believe Amanda was taken against her will from her home on Vaquero Road by 27-year-old Robert Anthony Camou.
According to Sherriff’s detectives, blood was found inside a bedroom of the residence and a Prius – along with a digging tool inside the vehicle. Lt. Scott Hoglund said witnesses saw Camou place Amanda in the Prius.
Camou then traveled eastbound on Foothill Boulevard and made several stops along the way in Glendora and Fontana before authorities lost track of him for 5 hours. Camou was not spotted again until he visited a Chase Bank ATM in Azusa. Detectives are broadening their search from Little Creek to Azusa Canyon and the Mt. Baldy area.

Hoglund says authorities are seeking the public’s assistance to fill in their timeline and locate Amanda who has not been seen or heard from.
Amanda’s father, Rick Custer, spoke at the conference, appeal ing to the public for help. “I’ve gone up there a couple of times myself, up to Lytle Creek — no results,” he said. “Some other family members have been out there — no results. We just want to bring Amanda home.” He urged the public to call into the Sheriff’s tip-line. “We just want to bring Amanda home,” he pleaded.
Rick Custer said his daughter has an 8-year-old son who is safe with family and added that his daughter had recently gotten a new job and was preparing to move out of town in an effort to get away from Camou.
