POP Katoons, a new interactive festival for kids and parents, recently announced its inaugural festival on Oct. 5-6 at the Pasadena Convention Center. The immersive event combines pop-culture and entertainment under one roof, creating a world where kids can play, discover new passions, learn skills, and express their creativity. Event highlights include interactive culinary demos, dance performances, kitty playground with adoptable kittens, live music by School of Rock, skateboarding showcases and more. Tickets are on sale now.

POP Katoons — produced by Doodles Productions, the company behind the popular POP Cats feline and pop culture festival — offers an opportunity for kids to unleash their energy and tap into their creative self-expression. On-stage programming features hip hop dance performances, rock performances, skateboard demos and magic shows. Hands-on activities include play zones, musical instrument labs, crayon parties, bounce houses, face painting, cooking classes, punk rock and unicorn transformation sessions, and a relaxing teepee village for kids, cat playgrounds and plenty of unique photo opportunities.
POP Katoons strives to inspire children to be active, passionate and confident citizens of tomorrow through a weekend program full of play, art, workshops, performances, and activities. The event is perfect for family members of all ages and particularly suited for children ages 2-10.
“For POP Katoons, we created this vibrant world of unleashed fun and positive experiences set out to inspire kids—the future leaders of our planet! We’re mashing up everything we know kids will absolutely love,” says co-founder Edgar Alexander. “We’re so looking forward to seeing families bonding at the festival and making POP Katoons a family tradition.”
POP Katoons will launch in Pasadena as part of a nationwide tour throughout 2020. The festival organizers are currently welcoming family-oriented brands to join them at their immersive experience.
