The city has announced that Friday it will start a Teen Scene event every Friday night through the summer in conjunction with the Friday Night Festival.
The teen event will be held in Library Park and will include live music, free food, arts and crafts and games.
Each week, a different youth leadership group such as the police explorers and the MAP youth leadership program graduates, will host the food and explain ways the young people can become involved in the community.
Lots of new activities have been planned. The weekly party will start at 5:30 p.m. and continue to 8:30 p.m.
