Music and Science Storytelling for Kids at Arcadia Library
Two special programs for children debut in June at the Arcadia Public Library. This year’s Summer at Your Library program is offering a wide range of activities for kids on this year’s theme, “It’s Showtime at Your Library.”
On Saturday, June 22, at 2:30 p.m., Science Tellers presents “Aliens: Escape from Earth.” Children ages 5 to 14 (and their families) will enjoy this out-of-this-world story about what happens when a mysterious object falls from the sky during a midnight meteor shower. This action-packed, educational alien adventure uses science experiments for special effects.
On Monday, June 24, at 6 p.m., the BeatBuds visit the Library for a fun and engaging musical evening that incorporates singing, dancing, musical instruments, and a bit of musical education. The Children’s staff will kick off the event with entertaining kid activities and the BeatBuds program will follow at 6:30 p.m. The event takes place on the Library’s lawn, so bring along comfortable seating or a blanket.
