Monrovia Weekly Wants to Hear from YOU
By Terry Miller
One week from today, Monrovia Weekly will be hosting a casual forum to give residents and businesses alike, the opportunity to tell us what you’d like to see in your local community newspaper.
Many of you have already signed up and we look forward to getting your input on how we can improve Monrovia Weekly and provide you with the news and information you crave and deem necessary.
With major changes facing the newspaper business over the past few years,
Beacon Media News, publisher of Monrovia Weekly has evolved and we want to make sure we continue to provide you with a newspaper and corresponding website that reflects your community’s character, voice and where your thoughts and concerns can be heard.
Monrovia Weekly is your adjudicated, local newspaper and has been your voice for nearly two decades. As we continue serving Monrovia, we eagerly seek community input on your likes and dislikes and how we can continue to develop our news and event coverage.
Whether you have something to say, or just wish to listen to your neighbors’ concerns, we encourage you to pop by, June 27. We strive to be a resilient voice in your community by sharing local news that’s important to you and offer local merchants a highly effective and affordable way to get those messages out to the community with our print and digital platforms.
As a well-known proverb says, “it takes a village to raise a child.” With this in mind, we hope you’ll join our family and voice your thoughts and desires with our staff and CEO next week.
The forum will take place at the Monrovia Community Center’s Senior Game Room (119 W. Palm Ave., Monrovia) on Thursday, June 27, at 10 a.m.
Please RSVP as soon as possible at evite.me/Ah9BhVUeve.
Light refreshments will be provided. If you’re unable to attend but want to have your opinion on the Monrovia Weekly considered, we encourage you to let us know by emailing tmiller@beaconmedianews.com or calling (626) 301-1010.
