Leadership Pasadena Names Corey Castillo to Board of Directors
Leadership Pasadena (LP) announced the appointment of Corey Castillo to the Leadership Pasadena Board of Directors to advise LP on strategic partnerships between LP and corporate organizations in the San Gabriel Valley.
“With a passion for both the art of leadership and the City of Pasadena, I consider it a privilege to advise on LP’s mission and strategic initiatives,” stated Corey Castillo.
Board Chair Josh Driskell explained that Castillo has a strong history of strategic leadership and connecting companies and non-profits. He has a bachelor’s in movement and sports science, a master’s in health administration, management and leadership and a doctorate in education (Ed. D.), organizational leadership.
Throughout his career, he has led in various performance management roles, in both for-profit and non-profit sectors, for the last few years as the director of development and operations with United Way of Greater Los Angeles. Corey also acts as an independent executive coach, business consultant, and advisory board member for other nonprofits in the Greater Los Angeles market including Artists for Trauma. AFT is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of both civilian and military trauma survivors through art.
“Corey has significant experience in corporate partnerships for larger non-profits as well as sales and operational business leadership success. In addition, Corey has expertise in leadership development and educational program creation. Corey has served on the LP Advisory Board since fall 2018 and we welcome him to the Board of Directors as Chair of our Fund Development Committee,” according to Cindy Bengtson, executive director of Leadership Pasadena.
