Discussion on future of fire services in Sierra Madre

The City of Arcadia is hosting a Fire Services Community Forum to discuss Sierra Madre residents’ concerns, insights, and priorities regarding a potential partnership between the cities of Arcadia and Sierra Madre for fire and emergency response delivery alternatives. This free community event is being held at Arcadia Fire Station 107, located at 79 W. Orange Grove, on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 7 p.m.

“This is an opportunity for Sierra Madre residents to share their needs, wants, and expectations for a potential partnership,” said Arcadia Fire Chief Michael Lang. “The Arcadia Fire Department is a premier, Class One fire service. Extending our fire and emergency response services to Sierra Madre will provide enhanced fire suppression capabilities along the foothills.”

The Cities of Sierra Madre and Arcadia approved a feasibility study in February to review a potential partnership. As the lead agency, the City of Arcadia study will provide valuable information regarding the impacts and opportunities of consolidating services. For more information, please contact Arcadia City Hall at (626) 574-5401.
