Shortly before 1:31 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 500 block of Vaquero Road regarding a residential burglary report. Sometime between May 6th and May 12th, unknown suspects entered the residence by smashing a rear sliding glass door. The suspects ransacked the home and fled with jewelry and designer handbags. The suspects tampered with the security surveillance system during the burglary. The investigation is ongoing.
At approximately 11:37 a.m., an officer responded to H Mart, 1101 West Huntington Drive, regarding a grand theft report. The victim stated she was sitting in the driver’s seat of her vehicle when the suspect stole her purse from the passenger seat.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 20 to 30-years-old, approximately 5’5” tall, with a thin build, and no facial hair. The investigation is ongoing.
May 13
Just after 9:44 a.m., a robbery victim flagged down an officer at Arco, 625 Las Tunas Drive. The victim, a clerk, was punched when he confronted the suspect for stealing wine and food. The suspect was located nearby and the 34-year-old male from Temple City was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At approximately 12:45 p.m., an officer responded to the 400 block of Huntington Drive regarding a vandalism report. The officer determined an unknown suspect smashed the victim’s rear-view mirrors for no apparent reason. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located.
May 14
Around 11:41 a.m., an officer responded to the 600 block of West Duarte Road regarding a fraud report. The victim discovered an unknown suspect fraudulently withdrew nearly $3,000.00 from his account. The victim does not know how the suspect obtained his personal information or the identity of the suspect.
Just before 3:49 p.m., an officer responded to Arcadia Christian School, 1900 South Santa Anita Avenue, regarding a vandalism report. Between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on May 14th, an unknown suspect smashed the victim’s driver side window. No loss was report, no suspects were seen, and no witnesses were located.
May 15
At about 10:22 a.m., an officer responded to the 1000 block of Singing Wood Drive regarding a grand theft report. An investigation revealed the Black male suspect stole gardening equipment from the victim’s unlocked trailer and was seen fleeing from the scene in a white, two-door Honda Accord. The investigation is ongoing.
Shortly after 1:20 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 200 block of West Norman Avenue regarding a burglary report. Unknown suspect(s) smashed the rear sliding glass door, ransacked the home, and fled with two Montblanc pens and other items. The investigation is ongoing.
May 16
Just before 6:00 a.m., an officer was dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of Sunset Boulevard regarding the report of a restraining order violation. The officer located the subject and confirmed that he was the restrained person. The 22-year-old male from Arcadia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
Around 12:45 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Second Avenue and Huntington Drive for having expired registration. Upon contacting the driver, the officer discovered the 35-year-old male from West Covina had been driving without a license. He was cited and released in the field.
May 17
At about 4:00 a.m., officers responded to the area of Baldwin Avenue and Las Tunas Drive regarding a stolen vehicle. Officers located the vehicle, which was occupied by two subjects, and conducted a traffic stop. A search of the subjects and the vehicle revealed a stolen check and stolen credit cards. The 21-year-old male driver from La Puente and the 20-year-old female passenger from Pomona, were arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At around 1:00 p.m., an officer responded to a parking lot in the 1000 block of North First Avenue regarding a vehicle burglary report. The officer discovered an unknown suspect broke the front passenger side window of the vehicle and stole a backpack. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located.
May 18
Shortly after 2:00 p.m., An officer patrolling the area of Second Avenue and Huntington Drive, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. Further investigation revealed the occupants were in possession of counterfeit drivers’ licenses, a credit card reader, credit cards, stolen mail and methamphetamine. One subject also had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. The 26-year-old male from Huntington Beach and the 25-year-old female from Norwalk were arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At approximately 6:00 p.m., Officers responded to Santa Anita Park, 285 West Huntington Drive, regarding a trespassing investigation. Race track security recognized a subject, who had previously been formally advised not to return, inside the property. Officers confirmed that the subject was trespassing and a valid private person’s arrest had been made. The 56-year-old male from Venice was issued a citation and released in the field.
