The Foothill Unity Center does an amazing job of serving folks in need in the San Gabriel Valley. They have been in their new building now for just one year. The transition was completed in record time – they closed for only one week.

Their new building has facilitated the opportunity to partner with even more organizations. For example, the have kitchens which facilitates a monthly cooking class where clients are provided with recipes for healthy eating and cooking classes. They have partnered with 69 interns from RN and social worker programs providing the opportunity to work with clients with chronic diseases. They have partnered with the Humane Society and served 150 pets with needed shots and food. They now have a job developer who partners with the Monrovia Adult School in finding training and job placements for clients.

In 2018, 453 families in Duarte were served – and 28 folks transitioned out of homelessness into permanent housing.
